Ward halloween party 300+

Our ward halloween party was here at the house, we had homemade chili, a pinata, games, a hay ride and even a haunted forrest!! the idea sounded great but ended up being a lot of work. the boy scouts in the ward spent a couple of mutual nights cutting down trees in the front forrest to make a path for the hay ride, and Sean and Russell worked almost every night for a month on the haunted forrest located in the back forrest. Dad was a profeessional gardner for 2 days and My dear friend Julie spend hours with me buying decorations, making decorations, hanging lights, bats, and spiders!
It was a hit! we took over 300 people on the hay ride. Someone donated a 5 foot pinata full of candy, just a couple of wacks into it, the whole thing fell on the ground, Red Sean went to pick it up and put it back on the rope when about 75 kids jumped on top of him ripping it (the pinata) to shreds (wheres the camera!) I was most impressed with the haunted forrest, (i think everyone was). Befor going through (by ourselves! no tour guides) we meet in a little teepee to learn the history of the forrest, settelers, and indians that once inhabited the land, but now haunt it. it wasnt full of blood and guts, it was the starttling unknown walking on the marked path of the dark forrest, and little sean really got me good! (good thing I went to the bathroom before)

oh my goodness! You guys look awesome... my kids tried to get me to pull off a star wars theme and I just couldn't get it together. They are going to love this picture!

I felt like I didn't enjoy halloween this year- I was so busy with the ward trunk or treat, we did not even carve pumpkins. LAME. Next time I do a trunk or treat it is NOT going to be on halloween. Your party sounds awesome- I KNOW it was better than the one we went too ;)
